Semic, P.E., is a registered civil engineer with nearly 20 years of professional civil engineering experience in land development, public works, and construction.  In addition to his civil engineering and project management expertise, Mr. Semic has a deep involvement in the design-build industry, and is adept at working with multiple agencies—private developers, governing agencies, designers, contractors, and more—at all stages to move a project forward.  He has led the engineering efforts of numerous award-winning and sustainable projects throughout the region.  A few notable projects in his portfolio include the $600 million County of San Diego Operations Center, the 62-acre UCSD Hillcrest Medical Campus Redevelopment, and the Imperial Beach Library.  Many of his projects have been award-winning, LEED Certified, ZNE (zero net energy), and/or WELL Certified.  Prior to joining Latitude 33 more than a decade ago, Mr. Semic served as a Project Manager at Project Design Consultants, and an office/field engineer at Clark Construction Group.

Mr. Semic is Latitude 33’s lead for design-build, civic, higher education, and healthcare projects.  He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and NAIOP.  For three years, he also served as an ACE mentor at e3 Civic High School for students interested in the architecture, construction, and engineering industries.  Mr. Semic earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware, and he is currently pursuing his DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America) certification.
