The Village is the focal point of the Pacific Highlands Ranch Development, providing a gathering space and recreational destination for the community. The project is designed around a central public axis that ties the community to it. The mixed-use project features commercial, office, residential, cinemas and a public library, including a 5-acre civic use area.
The architecture features a Spanish Colonial Revival style that is well suited for the local climate. Arches, white stucco, clay tile roofs, ornamental woodwork, and decorative shutters set the scene for this community center. The architectural character is ex- pressed through its colonnades, archways and trellises to help dictate the circulation patterns of this pedestrian-oriented community. The overall height and stature of its buildings are intended to create focal points for its community
