A registered civil engineer, Giovanni Posillico has over 20 years of leadership and civil engineering experience.  A multi-talented leader, he has experience spanning multiple disciplines, including civil engineering, water resources, mapping, entitlements, due diligence and construction budgets.  Some of his portfolio of work includes, urban infill residential, mixed-use, transit-oriented development, life sciences, commercial office, and military all over Southern California.  A few notable projects include: Flower Haven Apartments (La Mesa), Center for Novel Therapeutics (San Diego), UCSD Osler Parking Structure, Henry Ranch (Escondido), Pacific Highlands Ranch Community (San Diego).  Prior to joining Latitude 33, Mr. Posillico held positions with KCM Engineering, Project Design Consultants, and Gannett Fleming.

Mr. Posillico oversees Latitude 33’s life sciences, affordable housing, and urban, mixed-use, high-density residential developments.  He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University.  He is a member of the Building Industry Association (BIA), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Kris Taylor joined Latitude 33 in May 2002, and currently oversees the company’s financial and operations functions.  Being responsible for the overall financial strategy and administration of Latitude 33, she helps the company to pursue growth, meet its clients’ expectations, and pursue diversity in both project mix and staff skills.  Prior to joining Latitude 33, Ms. Taylor worked as a business manager for the publisher Harcourt in an operations and financial role.  She helped wind down the business and prepare it for its acquisition.  She also worked for a medical device manufacturer, where she worked as an accounting manager and in an operations role.

Ms. Taylor oversees Latitude 33’s administrative functions, insurance, contracts, legal obligations, financials, human resources, and banking relationships.  She is passionate about working with people and seeing the impact of Latitude 33’s work in her community.  She earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from San Diego State University, and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Matt Semic, P.E.

Matthew J. Semic, P.E., is a registered civil engineer with nearly 20 years of professional civil engineering experience in land development, public works, and construction.  In addition to his civil engineering and project management expertise, Mr. Semic has a deep involvement in the design-build industry, and is adept at working with multiple agencies—private developers, governing agencies, designers, contractors, and more—at all stages to move a project forward.  He has led the engineering efforts of numerous award-winning and sustainable projects throughout the region.  A few notable projects in his portfolio include the $600 million County of San Diego Operations Center, the 62-acre UCSD Hillcrest Medical Campus Redevelopment, and the Imperial Beach Library.  Many of his projects have been award-winning, LEED Certified, ZNE (zero net energy), and/or WELL Certified.  Prior to joining Latitude 33 more than a decade ago, Mr. Semic served as a Project Manager at Project Design Consultants, and an office/field engineer at Clark Construction Group.

Mr. Semic is Latitude 33’s lead for design-build, civic, higher education, and healthcare projects.  He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and NAIOP.  For three years, he also served as an ACE mentor at e3 Civic High School for students interested in the architecture, construction, and engineering industries.  Mr. Semic earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware, and he is currently pursuing his DBIA (Design-Build Institute of America) certification.

Nick Psyhogios, P.E.

Nick Psyhogios is a registered Civil Engineer with over 20 years of experience in land development.  He has a strong background in a wide variety of projects working with both private developers and public agencies.  His experience includes engineering feasibility studies, entitlements, final engineering design and construction administration.  Since joining Latitude33 Mr. Psyhogios continues to diversify Latitude 33’s portfolio of residential work, growing the firm’s pool of talent, and focusing on quality assurance. He has previously worked for Fuscoe Engineering, Inc. in both a project management and business development role.  Prior to that, he worked at Project Design Consultants, Inc.  His notable projects in Southern California include the award-winning San Dieguito Wetlands Restoration Project (San Diego/Del Mar), Town and Country Master Plan Development (San Diego), Rancho Tesoro Residential Subdivision (San Marcos), Flowerhill Mall Redevelopment (San Diego) and the Creek District Master plan (San Marcos).

At Latitude 33, Mr. Psyhogios leads the firm’s military, K-12 and residential developments.  He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the Building Industry Association (BIA).
